15" Chewbacca statue The debut release of Gentle Giant's new 12" (1/6 scale) line features the venerable Chewbacca.The 15" statue recalls Chewie's memorable stance in the The Empire Strikes Back staving off Imperial troopers, blaster rifle drawn in front and a disassembled but babbling Threepio on his back. The two were part of the Millennium Falcon's landing party on Bespin. Chewbacca may have retrieved the protocol droid from doom at the hand of Ugnaughts, but only before Lando led our heroes to the extended hand of Darth Vader. This statue is a limited edition.

AT-AT Imperial Walker, Episode V, Limited Edition Limited to 1,000 worldwide, Master Replicas' AT-AT Imperial Walker was recreated from the original studio models used in The Empire Strikes Back. The Empire used the All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) as a gigantic four-legged transport and combat vehicle to assault rebel ground troops. The replica is made from durable resin with injection-molded ABS plastic components and die cast metal parts. Attention to detail was paramount in the production of this piece, and it comes complete with a custom display case, numbered plaque, plaque stand, and certificate of authenticity. The dimensions of the AT-AT are approximately 20-inches in length, 6-inches in width, and 19-inches in height.Product specifications, pricing and shipping dates are subject to change.Prop Story The Empire maintains order by striking fear into its member star systems. Few weapons of mass destruction instill terror in an enemy more effectively than the fearsome All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) or Imperial walker. Exploiting its almost-unlimited resources, the Empire has produced a mobile weapons and troop deployment vehicle that is equally capable on almost any of the varied worlds spread throughout the galaxy. Standing on four, piston-driven hydraulic legs, each ending in a huge shock-absorbing footpad, the AT-AT Imperial walker reaches a height of fifteen and a half meters. Equipped with two side-mounted quad-blasters and two chin-mounted heavy blaster cannons, it is capable of inflicting massive damage to enemy emplacements; while its own densely armored panels can deflect even the heaviest of incoming blaster fire.A series of models ranging in size from about two-inches high, to approximately four-feet tall, were used to bring this behemoth to life in The Empire Strikes Back. Using the technique of stop-motion animation, the AT-AT was moved incrementally one frame at a time to achieve the illusion of movement. Projected at the normal film rate of 24 frames per second, the AT-AT gracefully thunders across the icy Hoth battleground.To create the 19-inch high, articulated stop-motion models, the talented artisans of Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) built a master pattern, detailing it with hundreds of parts taken from model kits such as jet fighters, rockets, and tanks. This master was molded, and copies were cast in resin and assembled onto machined metal articulated skeletons. The resin and metal parts were attached using dozens of tiny screws. If you watch carefully, you will see that many of these screws are actually visible on the AT-AT Imperial walkers in the film!Master Replicas chose to copy the 19-inch models in exact 1:1 scale for our first studio-scale vehicle replica. MR employed a number of processes in creating the ultimate, authentic replica of the AT-AT Imperial walker. They first consulted ILM model makers about the construction and function of the original models and reviewed images of the models published since the movie's first release. Most im

3/4 Studio Scale Rebel Snowspeeder, Episode V, Limited Edition The Snowspeeder will be decorated to exactly match the speeder designated as "Rogue One," Luke Skywalker's speeder in The Empire Strikes Back, including all markings, weathering and battle damage. This will be accomplished using a combination of pad printing, decals, spray painting and hand painting. To ensure intricate detail and durability, many of the fine parts have been reproduced from injection molded plastic and cold cast resin. The Snowspeeder rests on a cradle consisting of three clear, triangular acrylic supports topped with black rubber pads. The speeder will rest on these supports and will not be attached in any way.Prop StoryFrom the Battle of Hoth, the modified T-47 airspeeder, known more commonly as the Snowspeeder. At the climax of the Battle of Hoth in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the Imperial forces appeared unstoppable. The battle appeared to be one-sided as the AT-AT Imperial walkers lumbered towards their intended targets unhindered by cannon fire or Rebel heavy blasters. However, the Rebels had another weapon in their arsenal: the modified T-47 airspeeder, known more commonly as the Snowspeeder. These swift, two-man vehicles utilized repulsor-lift technology to hover above the ground. Two primary engines in the rear provided forward momentum, while a pilot and a rear gunner occupied the tiny cockpit in the center. In addition to two blaster cannons mounted atop the wings, this lightweight craft also carried a cannon/harpoon launcher in the rear. Using this harpoon and an attached tow-cable, one of these small snowspeeders was able to topple over a mighty AT-AT. Expertly Recreated at 3/4 Scale In the real world, these fascinating vehicles were created by the ILM model crew in resin, metal, and plastic. There were several different sizes of miniature models created for filming. These ranged from tiny models only a few inches long, to a four-foot long model used for close-up shots like the scene when the foot of an AT-AT crushes Luke's Snowspeeder. Several full-sized speeder mockups were also created for action shots of the actors. Master Replicas focused on the 21-inch studio scale models that were used for most of the primary shots in the film. The models varied substantially in detailing and markings, so their designers sought out the model with the gray stripes that was used by Luke Skywalker. By comparing the archived models to screen grabs they were able to locate the exact model and used it as their master reference pattern. Master Replicas' design team took hundreds of photographs of the prop and obtained color chips of the paint in order to create an exact match of the prop's coloring. Because the cockpit of the 21-inch studio model was not designed for close up shots, Master Replicas' designers worked with Lucasfilm to create a composite of both the studio model and full-size sets. The result is a replica that looks realistic and maintains the attention to detail expected by Star W
