62 inch Serrated Two-Handed Sword
 | This authentic sword of German or Swiss descent was used by only the finest of warriors determined to break enemies defensive lines. The flamberge was used to break the heads off of enemy pikes in order to decimate their front lines - creating havoc and chaos. The sword was then used as a thrusting weapon by grappling the ricasso (part of the sword between the blade and hilt) and plunging it into foes. This behemoth of a sword is over 62 inches in length - with its serrated blade measuring approximately 41 inches. Jutting out from each side of the blade are twin horn blades each approximately 3.5 inches long. The carved wooden handle has a dark rich grain which offsets the black iron hilt and pommel. The hilt measures 14 inches end-to-end and features scrolling ironwork designs - and flares at each end. Just above the blade is a black leather wrap which covers the sword and provides an extra hand hold. This is an excellent piece that is sure to grab attention be it at the next renaissance fair - or proudly displayed on your wall or over your mantle. |
